A team of Heart of Cameroon Foundation (HCF) members participated at the first Senegalese Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery congress in Saly Portudal (1 – 3 December 2022) and the National Medical Conference (December 13 – 16th) and Cameroonian Ultrasonography Society (8 – 9th December) in Yaoundé. It was great to meet with various colleagues from Africans and foreign countries to discuss the strategies for a fruitful collaboration among local cardiovascular specialists. HCF members presented their experience in the surgical management of children with congenital and acquired heart diseases and the challenges related to prosthetic valve selection in the Sub-Saharan region.
